Closeness, direct exchange and quality – those were the attributes which inspired the guests and speakers at the Imprint Culture Lab presented by BREAD & BUTTER in L.A.

TMore than 200 attendees from the creative industry pilgrimaged to the Democracy Forum at the Japanese American National Museum in downtown Los Angeles to hear speakers like Hiroshi Fujiwara (Founder of Fragment Design), Jeff Staple (Founder of Staple Design),  John Jay (Creative Director und Executive Partner of Wieden + Kennedy), Kenya Hara (MUJI Art Director) as well as Mark Arcenal (Founder/Creative Director for Fatlace and member of the Nike Global Digital Design Group) speak about personal experiences, topics of zeitgeist and future trends.

Due to the personal touch of the conference, the attending members of the pop culture industry profited from the competence and know-how of these leading, creative heads.

„The aim of the collaboration with the Imprint Culture Lab was to find answers to current questions as well as to show social developments and global changes. Moreover, it is important for us to individualise our generic know-how and to contribute to a productive exchange of experiences. This can happen through the very personal designation in form of intimate events outside the BREAD & BUTTER context”, says Sebastian Hennecke, Director of Sales of BREAD & BUTTER.

An approach similar to that of MUJI Art Director Kenya Hara, who expressed during the Lab: “Questions are a part of creativity and matter the most.”

For many years already, BREAD & BUTTER both individually and internationally supports projects that are dedicated to the advancement of creative and visionary ideas inside the global youth culture. The impulses and cognitions gained of this are implemented into the tradeshow for selected brands within different projects.

The Imprint Culture Lab was founded to foster creativity and innovation in the business segment by connecting the cultural dots between various elements, which can include inspiration from art, media, food, fashion, product design, architecture and pop culture phenomena.
