Besides being one of the pioneering works of Catalan industrial modernism, this former factory is an innovative cultural center with an auditorium, media library and one of Europe’s most important collections of contemporary art. Architect Arata Isozaki built the unique sculpture-entrance.

Center of moving arts
Situated Montjuic hill, the building housing this theater is a mishmash of protruding facades and domes and was originally built for the 1929 International Fair. It’s take-your-breath-away kind of beautiful—as are the renowned avant-garde and drama performances shown here on a regular basis.
