PRESS CRITERIA
BREAD & BUTTER BERLIN – tradeshow for selected brands is the leading international fair for Street and Urban Wear and positions itself as a marketing and communication platform for brands, labels and designers from the areas of Denim, Sportswear, Street Fashion, Function Wear and Casual Dressed Up.
As such it is not open to the public and only registered trade visitors and accredited journalists gain access to the tradeshow. All registration requests will be checked thoroughly according to the visitor and press criteria as well as to their relevance. Accreditation will be granted upon presentation of valid press credentials.
Relevant are editorial departments, news departments and formats with a direct relation to the contents of BREAD & BUTTER – tradeshow for selected brands itself and of its exhibitors.
Journalists and press representatives working in the editorial department of the following media will be accredited:
- Trade press from the textile market
- Consumer press (relevant formats with link to fashion, lifestyle, art/design, music)
- Daily press (department fashion/lifestyle, local news, business/politics)
- News agencies
- Online media (relevant formats with link to fashion/lifestyle, art/design, music)
- Radio stations (relevant formats with link to fashion/lifestyle, art/design, music)
- Broadcasting and production companies (relevant formats with link to fashion/lifestyle, art/design, music)
NOT eligible for press registration:
- Permanent and freelance members of media without direct relation to the contents of BREAD & BUTTER or the ones of its exhibitors
- Permanent and freelance members (of publishing company/publication/editorial department/media/photographers/ TV channel/production company/Internet TV) who cannot present the documents listed above or the personalised invitation of a B&B exhibitor.
- Permanent and freelance members (of publishing company/publication/editorial department/media/photographers/TV channel/production company/Internet TV) who can only show press or publisher cards
- Radio station staff members who only transmit on public channels.
- Photographers and staff from broadcasting or production companies without specific assignment from a relevant editorial department

Important information about accreditation
The press accreditation is possible through the press accreditation online tool as well as at the press counters on site during the days of the event.
The same criteria apply for press accreditation online as well as for accreditation on site.
Submitting an application does not automatically qualify you for a press accreditation. All requests will be checked thoroughly according to the B&B press criteria as well as to their relevance.
Please have the following information and documents ready once you submit your accreditation: full contact details, website of the media represented, personal e-mail address, valid press credentials/documents required (as JPG/ PDF or fax document).
Requests for press accreditation submitted without all required information and documents will not be processed. You may be asked to submit additional materials to support your application.
After successful accreditation, you will receive a confirmation by email. You will then receive your personalised ticket free of charge by post.
BREAD & BUTTER reserves the right to reject accreditation requests after thorough examination without giving reasons.
Misrepresentation of position and/or publication/media organization and forgery of documents will bar you from all future BREAD & BUTTER events.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED
Please note: Press cards or publisher cards are NOT accepted as valid documents for accreditation!
Please send your press accreditation request together with one of the following documents, depending on your type of work:
Permanent editorial or publishing staff (publishers, editors in chief, editors, correspondents, stylists, and members of marketing and advertising department):
- Letter on original company paper confirming that you are a permanent member of the editorial team of one of the above mentioned media. The letter has to be signed by the highest instance of the editorial/publishing department and has to contain position, function, department of the person seeking accreditation and, in case of a publishing house, the exact name of the represented media.
OR - Imprint (no older than 3 months) in which the person seeking accreditation is listed as a permanent member of the editorial department
OR - Personalised invitation of a B&B exhibitor
Freelance editorial or publishing staff (editors, correspondents, stylists, members of marketing & advertising department):
- Letter of assignment of one of the above mentioned media. The assignment has to be on original company paper signed by the highest instance of the editorial/publishing department. Position, function, department of the person seeking accreditation as well as details about the type of assignment have to also be included in the letter.
OR - Personalised invitation of a B&B exhibitor
Photographers (permanent and freelance staff members):
- Letter of specific assignment of one of the above mentioned media on original company paper signed by the highest instance of the editorial/publishing department. Details about the type of assignment must also be included in the letter. The assignment of a photo-agency is NOT sufficient for accreditation.
OR - Personalised invitation of a B&B exhibitor
TV channels/ Radio channels (editorial staff without assignment to film, stylists:
- Letter of specific assignment of a TV or radio channel. The assignment has to be on original company paper signed by the highest instance of the editorial/publishing department. Position, function, department of the person seeking accreditation as well as details about the type of assignment must also be included in the letter.
AND - Filming permit: TV editors with assignment to film have to apply for a filming permit. Please see information below.

Filming permit
Filming permit for editors/crews of TV/radio channels/production companies/Internet TV formats
If you have an assignment to film on the BREAD & BUTTER event premises you also have to apply for a filming permit. Please submit your press accreditation request online and send along the B&B TV form together with one of the following documents:
- B&B TV form. The form must be legible, fully completed and signed by the editor in charge. With her/his signature the editor in charge confirms to provide B&B with a copy of the TV feature on DVD immediately after broadcasting. Download the TV form
AND - A letter of assignment of a relevant TV/radio channel or online media on original company paper. The letter must be signed by the editor in charge or head of department and has to include function, position and department of the person seeking accreditation as well as information about the type of coverage you are planning, the transmission date, the content of the feature and the format of the broadcast/video recordings.
OR - In case of assignment of a B&B exhibitor: A letter of assignment of the B&B exhibitor on original company paper of the company exhibiting for which you will be working. Information about the content of the video recordings/feature must be included.
For filming and taking press pictures during the B&B Opening on 17.01.2012 and the B&B Night Events on 18.01. and 19.01.2012 from 7.00 p.m. you need a separate permission:

The accreditation of TV/radio channels, production companies or Internet TV formats by BREAD & BUTTER GmbH & Co. KG does not allow to film stands, collections and/or activities of B&B exhibitors. This permission can only be given by the person in charge at the exhibiting company and has to be obtained before filming.
